Sunday School More info ►
Every Sunday, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Are you passionate about your faith? Do you enjoy working with children? Want to give back to your congregation? We are currently staffing our Sunday School program for the coming fall. There are still four positions available, but they’re filling up fast. Please contact Deirdre Weatherston ( ) if you would like to join our Sunday School faculty. No experience is necessary, as BOCE will provide an easy-to-follow curriculum for each class. Thank you to those who have volunteered their services already. Your commitment to furthering the Christian education of our youth is greatly appreciated.
Bible Study More info ►
Every Sunday, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Under the sponsorship of Board of Christian Education, the Sunday School has been having a Bible study each Sunday morning from 11 am to 12:00 p.m. The curriculum is called Feasting on the World. We read Bible passages, plus four essays that comment on the passages, and then answer wide open questions, plus we enjoy a strong fellowship with a wonderfully committed group. Come try us out. We meet in the library. If you have any questions please call Al Maurer at 718-268-6564.
Advent Luncheon More info ►
Sunday, December 15, 2019, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Please join us on Sunday, December 15th, immediately following the one 10 am service, for our annual Advent Luncheon in the Community House, hosted by the Church Council. This scrumptious potluck feast is a true labor of love prepared by CITG members and parishioners. Come share incredible fellowship and equally incredible food. Plan to wear your most colorful Christmas outfit and be prepared to sing Christmas songs and carols and enjoy a story told by Tim Evans.
The festivities begin right after The Church-in-the-Gardens Christmas Pageant, presented by the Sunday School children; another annual—and not to be missed—event that is guaranteed to put Christmas in your heart.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing the joy of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There will be a sign-up sheet in the back of the sanctuary on which you can write what dish you would like to bring, or volunteer if you would like to help out.
