Beethoven Meets Stradivarius -The Return of the Red Violin

Musica Reginae will be presenting the return of the Red Violin to Forest Hills for an all-Beethoven program.

Musica Reginae will be presenting on Saturday, March 16th, the return of the Red Violin to Forest Hills for an all-Beethoven program, featuring the beloved Spring Sonata and the famous Archduke Trio. Elizabeth Pitcairn will be playing her famed "Red Mendelssohn" Stradivarius, and will be joined by pianist Barbara Podgurski and cellist Evan Drachman, grandson of cellist Gregor Piatigorsky. Drachman performs on the famed Piatigorsky Stradivarius cello, one of the six great Stradivarius cellos in existence. The program will also feature the world premiere of a piece for violin and piano by Sunny Knable. The performance is at 2 pm in the Sanctuary.
