Musica Reginae to Present Two Concerts
All are welcome!
Children’s Concert; begins at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary of The Church-in-the-Gardens
Where do composers get their inspiration from? What does it mean to create music at an early age? Bring your child to listen to the music of young composers. What a terrific learning yet enjoyable opportunity. The concert is an interactive workshop where we will make creative choices and learn more about composing music! We will explore how composers incorporate different instruments into their work and learn more about the history of music composition! This event for children (ages 4 & up) and their families will be about an hour long and is free of charge.
Rising Stars & Young Composers - Young Artists Showcase
Musica Reginae Productions is proud to present its annual young artists showcase on Saturday, April 13th at 7 pm at The Church-in-the-Gardens. This year's program will feature four young prodigies — all between the ages of 11 and 16 — who are on track for a career in the performing arts. Two have had pieces premiered by the New York Philharmonic. All four are students of the eminent composer Daniel Felsenfeld. The program will be hosted by Musica Reginae's Artistic Director Barbara Podgurski who will also perform with the string players on the program. Reception to follow. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students; admission for children under 12 is free. Tickets are available at musicareginae.org
