Musica Reginae to Perform New Music by New York Composers

a concert of new music by New York composers for voice and ensemble, inspired by Catherine Schmitt, James Joyce, Duke Ellington and Thelonius Monk.

On Saturday, October 20th at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary of The Church-in-the-Gardens, Musica Reginae Productions will present a concert of new music by New York composers for voice and ensemble, inspired by Catherine Schmitt, James Joyce, Duke Ellington and Thelonius Monk., This program includes the works of three APNM (Association for the Promotion of New Music) Composers, two World Premieres, and a partially-staged opera including the world premiere of Sheree Clement’s Swimming Upstream. Works by Sheree Clement, Erik Lundborg, Bruce Taub, Edward Smaldone, David Schober and Robert Muczynski will be performed by Sheila Simpson, Idith Meshulam, Elizabeth Farnum and the Clara Duo.  Tickets are $20/ adults/ $10 for students. and are available at musicareginae.org.
