Musica Reginae To Host Community Concert For Kids

What does the marimba sound make you think of? Discover how this beautiful instrument, originating in Africa, has inspired so many composers to write for its resonating tones. On Saturday, December 1, 2018 join Musica Reginae Productions for a free interactive workshop where we will make creative choices and learn more about the marimba. We will explore how different composers incorporated this instrument into their work and learn more about the history of the instrument.

Performers are: pianist, Barbara Podgurski ; and composer, pianist and educator, Beata Moon .This interactive event for children (ages 4 & up) and their families will involve participants throughout the program. This workshop will last about an hour in length.   The concert will be held in the Sanctuary at 4pm, will last about one hour, and is free.
